The Dallas Cowboys should be ready to play in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens as CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs are ready to play after being limited in practice this week.
Lamb and Diggs missed practice on September 19, but were infrequent the next day. Lamb was dealing with an ankle injury, while Diggs was dealing with a foot injury. After practice, Lamb spoke about his game status.
“My ankle is fine,” Lamb said Thursday. “It was sore yesterday, so I took the day off [on Wednesday].”
The Cowboys will need both of their stars on defense as they prepare to face a team looking for its first win of the season.
Cowboys healthy ahead of Week 3
It appears that CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs are not seriously injured and will be able to play in Week 3. Lamb is the Cowboys’ top option on offense and they will need him against the Baltimore Ravens, a team known for their defense. Dak Prescott and Lamb have already scored a touchdown this season and will look to do so more often this season, but health will play a role in this choice.

For the Cowboys’ defense, Diggs is their top cornerback, and he’ll be tasked with covering the Ravens’ top receiver. The Cowboys are still waiting for their other top cornerback, DaRon Bland, to return from injury, and all signs point to him being back soon.
With all the injuries piling up around the league just three weeks into the season, it’s a positive sign for the Cowboys to still be able to have their key players healthy. The Cowboys are also a team looking to be among the best in the NFC at the end of the year, so health will be very important to them, even early in the season.
