Welcome to Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season, which began Thursday night with the Dallas Cowboys’ victory over the New York Giants, 20-15.
THE Lions do not play on Sunday; instead, they will host one of the NFL’s two Monday Night Football games this week.
Here’s a quick look at the Lions in Week 4.

Are the Lions playing today?
No. The Lions are not playing today (Sunday). However, they are part of the NFL doubleheader on Monday night, when the Lions host the Seattle Seahawks at Ford Field. The match will be broadcast nationally and locally on ABC and broadcast on ESPN+ (sign-up offer).
THE sea hawks enter Week 4 as one of five undefeated teams, joining Buffalo, Kansas City, Pittsburgh and Minnesota. They beat the Lions the previous two seasons in early season games at Ford Field (both Week 2).
In 2023, the Seahawks won 37-31 in overtime on Tyler Lockett’s 6-yard touchdown run from Geno Smith, who was 32 of 41 passing for 328 yards and two touchdowns.
In 2022, the Seahawks won another shootout in Detroit, 48-45, as Smith threw for 320 yards and two scores.
This time, the Lions have a key advantage, according to Free Press sports editor Jared Ramsey in his game predictions.
The Tennessee Titans visit the Miami Dolphins in Monday night’s other game (7:30 p.m., ESPN).
