It is not possible to recover these lives, but Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper will greatly contribute to the recovery efforts. According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Tepper and his wife Nicole have made an initial commitment of $3 million to help those affected by the hurricane in the Carolinas.

Tepper may not be the most popular owner in the area, but it’s just football, which seems so insignificant compared to events like this. At least when it really matters he does the right thing.
