Austin Ekeler is back to face the Cleveland Browns, and just in time because the Washington Commanders could be without another running back.
ASHBURN, Va. — The Washington Commanders are looking for their first four-game winning streak since 2021 and their first 4-1 start since 2008.
With a win against the Cleveland Browns who enter with a 1-3 record, the Commanders could build on the suddenly high level of national attention the team is receiving after its 3-1 start.

Receiver Noah Brown (groin) will not play this weekend, as will defensive end Clelin Ferrell (knee), who will miss his third straight game.
In Brown’s place, receivers Luke McCaffrey and Dyami Brown will look to join Olamide Zaccheaus to give Daniels an option beyond Terry McLaurin.

The return of offensive tackle Jack Conklin (hamstring) is questionable and Cleveland would love to have him back on the field to help secure what has been a shaky offensive line so far this season.
Tight end David Njoku (ankle), running back Pierre Strong Jr. (hamstring), guard Michael Dunn (illness) and offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. (knee) are also questionable.
The Commanders and Browns kick off at 1 p.m. ET inside Northwest Stadium this Sunday.
