THE Cleveland Browns will start quarterback Jameis Winston on Sunday as they take on the Baltimore Ravens.
Although it was brought up with Dorian Thompson-Robinson’s finger injury, Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz reported that the former first overall pick will get his first start as a member of the Browns. This follows starting quarterback Deshaun Watson’s season-ending Achilles injury.
Winston entered the game in the fourth quarter against the Bengals as the third emergency quarterback after both quarterbacks were out injured. He threw the only passing touchdown of the game, hitting tight end David Njoku over the top shelf on an impressive drive.
The Browns also signed third-year quarterback Bailey Zappe from the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad, and he could just serve as a backup against the Ravens if Thompson-Robinson misses the game with that injured finger.
Officially, though, we’re going to get our first look at Winston in brown and orange.
