PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — When the Steelers take the field at Acrisure Stadium Monday night, they will be wearing their alternating color uniforms that are adorned with black and gold.
The Steelers are scheduled to host the New York Giants on Monday and it will be Pittsburgh’s third straight home game that will be played in the evening.
The team has worn the black and gold uniforms nearly a dozen times since it first played there during the 2016 season.
This will be the first time the Steelers have worn the black and gold jerseys since the end of last season. played against the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.

Steelers vice president of sales and marketing Ryan Huzjak said Monday Night Football promises to create an electric atmosphere and the team is excited to help build that excitement with the colorful uniforms.
Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick said he liked the all-black look of the uniforms and said he thought it looked “stylish.”
Tight end Pat Freiermuth said it gives you something to be excited about and happy about when you wear a different uniform for a game.
Defensive tackle Cam Heyward said their uniforms help provide intensity and wearing them for night games is a good time to show off some “cool jerseys.”
Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. said he “likes the way the yellow shows up on the block numbers.”
Fans attending Monday’s game are encouraged to wear black jerseys and gear.
