It looks like Bo Nix is keeping all of his stuff.
THE Denver Broncos will face the Baltimore Ravens in a titanic clash this weekend, and naturally, there will be comparisons between Nix and reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson.
Nix isn’t anywhere near Jackson’s level yet, but he’s played well in recent weeks and was just named Offensive Rookie of the Month for October.
Nix has also played with his legs this season, but the quarterback this week shrugged off a comparison to Ravens star Lamar Jackson.
“If I tried to do what Lamar would do, I wouldn’t be here,” Nix said after Wednesday’s practice. “He’s special not only when it comes to running the ball – he’s well known for his explosive runs – but he’s a fully skilled quarterback in the pocket. He does some really good things with his arm .I think he’s underrated when it comes to throwing the ball. It’s going to be fun to see him. It’s going to be fun to be with him and watch him. no one, I suppose, for the second time.
“I saw him play against Clemson. When I was in high school, I went to the Clemson game and he was electric in that one too. I’m excited to play against him at the same level. It’s always crazy to be able to play against these guys. [him]he’s a two-time MVP, and he’s been doing it for a few years now at a high level. I definitely don’t want to be compared to him running the ball because I’m not quite there.
It’s excellent that Nix distances himself from the comparison talk. It’s easy to get caught up in these conversations, which allows one to get caught up in the media frenzy. However, it appears that Nix remains calm, collected and collected, ensuring that he is ready to lead Denver to a potential victory in Week 9.
After the game, he will have the opportunity to meet the quarterback he watched in high school and college. Jackson is only three years older than Nix, but this is his seventh year in the NFL. He is an experienced veterinarian; Nix is a beginner. They will face each other for the first time on Sunday.
