Washington Commanders Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels was injured during a Week 7 win over the Carolina Panthers. After leaving in the first quarter of that game, Daniels did not practice and was doubtful for last week’s showdown against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears.
We know how it happened. Daniels dominated Williams. And his late Hail Mary shocked the Bears, and Washington improved to 6-2. Daniels passed for a career-high 326 yards and posted a total QBR of 70.9, according to ESPN.
It was Daniels’ sixth-highest QBR in a single game this season, which was notable considering he was playing injured.
Total QBR is measured differently than traditional passer rating. This is how ESPN Analytics defines its calculation method Total QBR:
It incorporates all of a quarterback’s contributions to winning, including how he impacts the game on passes, rushes, turnovers and penalties.
