The Los Angeles Chargers appear to be getting some help at the wide receiver position on Sunday and it will come in time. The team, dealing with receiver issues all season, should see DJ Chark finally put on a Chargers uniform and take the field.
The Chargers were looking for a veteran receiver this offseason and signed Chark to an affordable one-year deal this spring and the intention was to make him a focal point of the offense. But a hip injury kept him sidelined all season.
But when the team released his injury report On Wednesday, Chark was not there. Some thought he might play last week against the Cleveland Browns, but he wasn’t ready. However, it now seems likely that he will face the Tennessee Titans this Sunday.
This comes at a great time for the Chargers, as Simi Fehoko and Brenden Rice were recently placed on injured reserve, depleting the help guard at the position. If Chark can play, he will add to a group that includes Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer.
🚨 #Chargers Update
One of the main reasons the Chargers haven’t pushed harder for a WR trade is the emergence of Quentin Johnston and DJ Chark coming back from IR.

Justin Herbert hasn’t missed a beat, looking good this season despite lacking a group of elite receivers to pass the ball to. Chark would help as the veteran is crafty at getting open and he catches the deep ball well.
Chark has 212 career receptions for 3,069 yards and 23 touchdowns. His return may have helped influence the Chargers not to make a deal before the trade deadline, despite the fact that several other teams, including contending AFC teams, added receivers.
It remains to be seen if Chark will actually don a Chargers jersey in a regular season game for the first time in Week 10, but signs point to that being the case.
