Among the gems from Joe Burrow’s revealing press conference on Wednesday: Bengals” said the quarterback Los Angeles Chargers First-year head coach Jim Harbaugh attempted to recruit Burrow while Harbaugh was the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, after Burrow had already committed to Ohio State.
Burrow talked about Harbaugh contacting him before NFL Week 11 Sunday Night Football Game between the Bengals and Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
“He had just gotten the job at Michigan in January after that (2014) season,” Terrier. “I had been committed to Ohio State for five or six months at that point, so I think coach (Harbaugh) was trying to make a splash by trying to flip the Ohio quarterback commitment State. I’m not entirely sure he knew exactly who I was or what I could do at that point, I think he was just trying to make a splash.”
At the same press conference, Burrow apologized for using the F-bomb when discussing how teammate and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase expresses to Burrow that he is open.
