When the Denver Broncos mark the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, it is highly likely that the team will target a wide receiver with this pick. The team has a young wide receiver room and Courtland Sutton’s future in Denver still appears to be a topic of discussion.
Vinnie Iyer Sports news recently prepared a mock draft for 2025 and it has the Broncos picking perhaps the fastest wide receiver in next year’s class… Texas’ Isaiah Bond.
When Xavier Worthy, also from Texas, joined the scouting party last year, he broke the combine record with the fastest 40-yard dash time ever recorded. This led to him being a first round draft pick of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos could find their own version of Worthy, one who might be more refined as a wide receiver.
Sometimes it seems so easy for Isaiah Bond. Speed takes the corner and he’s gone.

When reading scouting reports on Bond, he is often referred to as a creative road runner. Unlike Worthy, he’s more than just a home run threat, and in a precision passing attack he could be an incredibly dangerous weapon.
So far this season, he has caught 26 passes for 435 yards (16.7 yard average) and five touchdowns.
Here’s what Iyer had to say in his analysis:
“Bo Nix has been content with his current corps of wide receivers, led by an inconsistent Courtland Sutton, but he needs a good vertical playmaker to increase the big-play threat of the passing game. Bond would be a great choice.”
Bond would certainly be a great fit in Denver and he would give Bo Nix a useful weapon to stretch the floor.
Broncos select Isaiah Bond in first round of mock draft
The Broncos will need help at receiver next season, as the team has Sutton and Josh Reynolds (who missed several games this season) and Lil’Jordan Humphrey as veterans on the roster. Troy Franklin and Devaughn Vele are rookies who are still adjusting to the professional level.
The team needs a lot more in this department and it seems obvious that if Nix had some upgrades in terms of offensive weapons, the Broncos could quickly take the next step to becoming a top contender in the AFC.
The idea of using their first round pick on a guy like Bond makes perfect sense.
