THE Indianapolis colts made a lot of movements during the first week of the NFL Free Agency, including security signatures Cam bynumcorner Ward of Charvariusand Quarterrière Daniel Jones.
Even if Indianapolis has repaired a secondary filled with defects, there are still clear problems which must be resolved in the next draft of the NFL. Positions like a tight end, a secondary and certain places on the offensive and defensive line could use serious talent increases.
The colts have their own choice in each of the seven cycles of this year’s draft, starting with the 14th choice in total. Experts have linked the colts to tight ends and line players, but have more and more liked players like Tyler Warren from Penn State or Colston Loveland of Michigan as the first round choice for Managing Director Chris Ballard.
In a new seven round simulation project per Matt Miller de EspnThe colts decide to swing on Loveland with their first choice.
“Loveland was Michigan’s passes match last season, catching 56 assists for 582 yards and five affected despite the Anemic QB game, “wrote Miller.” He has also become a moving blocker accomplished in the Wolverines Run scheme, which Colts RB Jonathan Taylor will appreciate. “”

The threat of Loveland as a pass and as a racing blocker makes him an intriguing perspective for Indianapolis. The tight bits of Zero Colts succeeded in the mark of 200 yards in 2024, it is therefore clear that an upgrade is necessary if the team wants to give its quarters a chance.
Before the second day of the draft, Miller sees the colts improve the trenches with the goalkeeper of the offensive Donovan Jackson in the second round and to the defensive winger Oluwafi Oldojo in the third round.
Jackson, an Ohio State product, would be the necessary depth for the colts after Will Fries and Ryan Kelly skipped the Vikings in Minnesota earlier this month. In 2024, he granted two bags, five strokes of QB and 12 HAR QB in 422 Snaps for blocking passes. Jackson spent time as a left guard and left tackle in the attack on Ryan Day, which could be a precious versatility for Indianapolis.
Complete entirely on the Donovan Jackson strip and the change he made in the playoffs was incredible.
W10-14 when he moved for the first time to LT was an admirable performance of someone who played out of position. The last 4 games have been legitimately closed to the tackle band. 36 -inch weapons verified in HS BTW pic.twitter.com/317jxt7cqj

Oladejo, on the other hand, would renew his friendship with the former UCLA teammate Latu latu On the defensive side of the ball.
“The colts must replace Dayo Odeyingbo, who left for Chicago after 16 bags in the last three seasons. Oldjo is an upward player with the features to become a defensive side to three,” Miller wrote. “”
Passing on the third day, the colts would still have places to fill. Miller thinks that Indianapolis will select the defensive players on four rights on the last day of the draft, including two seconds and two defensive backs.
In the fourth round, Miller has the Smael Mondon Jr. Colts of Georgia. Mondon has come to life towards the end of the Bulldogs season, recording two bags and 28 placed in their last three games. If the colts take it, there is a chance that he can start alongside Zaire Franklin From the first day.
Georgia LB Smael Mondon JR was excellent for two days of work.

Before the fifth round, the colts chose the Upton Stout corner of western Kentucky. Stout won the honors of the first All-Cusa team in 2024 while displaying a summit of 7.5 plated for defeat in 12 departures. He took 355 shots of the slit in his last year, which means that he could fill behind Kenny Moore II Like an important piece of the depth of alignment.

To close the project, Miller sees the colts Select the security Dante Trader Jr. from Maryland and the second Eugene Asante d’Auburn. The two players have a power experience 5, so the transition from the college level to the professional level would not be as drastic.
Given the lack of depth in terms of security and the second (especially from Grant Stuard on the left), the colts could easily take two players to fill the list places and compete for backup roles. Even then, Indianapolis has already started the end -of -round players and could do it again in 2025.
Overall, Miller thinks that the colts will select the defensive players with five of their seven choices. It would not be surprising, but it would certainly put pressure on the defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo to transform his guys into a competent unit during his first season with the colts.
