Washington commanders stole the spotlight during the NFL 2025 free agency, making some successful trades with the San Francisco 49ers and the Texans of Houston who delivered the deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil franchise.
The movements have Washington able to continue to rely on the success that the first-year head coach Dan Quinn and the starry quarter Jayden Daniels delivered last season, leading the commanders to an appearance in the NFC championship.
But, while the commander could be the beneficiary of the addition of a left tackle of the pro bowl to protect the blind from Daniels, the initiates of the NFL wonder exactly what the Texans predict. After all, Houston had one of the worst offensive lines of the League last season and simply gave their best song from the start.

The trade in Washington and Houston was listed as one of the six “WTF movements” by Gradio report ‘S Gary Davenport. This is largely present because the Texans will now be forced to hit the position in the project or to risk additional pressure on the quarter-Arrière CJ Stroud.
“The trading of the blind protector of CJ Stroud, Larem Tunsil, is very certainly considered a WTF movement,” wrote Davenport. “Yes, the player of Bowler five times committed 19 penalties in 2024, but he was also one of the best plated of blocking the league passes, granting only two bags in more than 1,000 snaps, per Pff.”
“The Texans also added the veteran goalkeeper Laken Tomlinson, but the Tunsil trade was a shoemaker for a team with aspirations in the playoffs,” continued Davenport. “Now it’s about hitting a tackle at the start of the draft – or other.”
Houston can still have a hole to fill, but Washington has reinforced his attack by pressing the trigger on Tunsil. It is clear that the commanders will maximize the window they have while Daniels is still on its recruit agreement.
Tunsil has two more years over an extension of three years / 75 million dollars he signed before the 2023 season. According to Spotrac, he won $ 121.1 million during his professional career.
Commanders will be the third team to which Tunsil has adapted in their ten years in the NFL. He is a bowling player five times, including three consecutive selections of 2022-24.
