Before Put the pen on paper With the Broncos de Denver, the fifth-year quarter-Arrière Sam Ehlinger reflected other NFL offers, including that of its previous employer, the Indianapolis colts.
But “the opportunity” to work under the staff of Broncos coaches and alongside the Starter Bo Nix was “extremely attractive” – too good to transmit for the new QB3 of the club.
“The opportunity to work with (chief) coach (sean) Payton and (QB) Davis Webb coach and be in this room with BO and (QB Jarrett) Stidham is extremely attractive,” said Ehlinger agent Erik Burkhardt Denver Gazette. “It will make him better and he will have the opportunity to continue to develop under some of the best offensive minds.”
“He had other opportunities and Indy wanted him to come back because they know what he brings, but this situation (in Denver) stood out,” added Burkhardt.

Ehlinger in 2021, Ehlinger appeared in eight career matches for the colts, finishing 64 passes out of 101 for 573 yards, three affected and three interceptions. Mainly a reserve signaleur, he made three departures during the 2022 season, losing each.
Ehlinger, 26, signed a one -year contract on Monday with the broncos, replacing the former QB third string Zach Wilson after Wilson defeated the Dolphins of Miami in free will.
He is one of several external additions – including the tight winger Evan Engram – who landed in the Mile High City this off -season due (at least in part) to the presence of Nix, the team general of the team, who made Denver a destination again.
“It’s always nice when the players want to be here,” the director general of Broncos said on Monday, George Paton. “Now we have not had all our players, but we feel well where we are.
