Like most teams, the Houston Texans Can accommodate up to 30 official pre-project prospects before the draft of the NFL 2025 which are not in the Grand Houston region. These are called “Top 30” or “30 visits” visits.
The team can use visits to take a closer look at a high level prospect, build the screening report on a less known player or help recruit efforts on a potential free agent. More and more, the Texans Writing or finally simulating players who visited Houston before the project or met the team during the NFL screening combination.

In 2021, the Texans drafted five of the 30 players who visited. A year later, Houston recruited four others, including the future All-Pro Derek Stingley Jr. corner half at No. 3 and the Nickel defender Jalen Pitre. In 2023, the Texans used the two first round choices on CJ Stroud and Will Anderson Jr., who visited the franchise the same weekend with two remaining weeks before. In 2024, Houston wrote four pre-trafic visitors and signed another as an un residued free agent.
