Matt Gay is unemployed.
The veteran Kicker was released by the colts barely two years after a four -year agreement after a fragile section in Indianapolis.
The colts signed Gay for a $ 22.5 million contract that would have maintained it with the franchise until 2026 after doing the pro Bowl for the Rams during their 2023 winner of the Super Bowl.
The contract, at the time, was the largest free agency agreement given to a botter in the history of the NFL.
Gay converted 64 of the 78 goal attempts in the field (82.1%) during his stay with the colts.
From 50 meters or long, Gay even had trouble, hitting only half (11 out of 22) of his attempts at this distance.
Before coming to Indianapolis, Gay had struck 17 of the 23 attempts of 50 meters or more.
In three years with the Rams, he had made 92.5% of his attempts.
It is not clear that will take gay’s work, but the team signed Spencer Schrader, who spent time with the colts, jets and chiefs last season and hit his five attempts on the field, for an agreement last month.
Gay underwent hernia surgery during the pre-season, which made him miss the week 1, although he has struck any idea that the injuries had to do with his difficulties.

“The kicks are very, very mentally mental,” gay told journalists in the fall. “I was very good over 50 years old in my career, and I fully trust what can be kicked. I have shown that I can do it. ”
The colts are also faced with questions at the quarter of a quarter.
In February, the director general of Indianapolis, Chris Ballard, said that he wanted “real competition” for Anthony Richardson, who was disappointing for two seasons after being written No. 4 in total in 2023.
The colts signed the former quarter of the Giants Daniel Jones, who will probably compete for the departure post, in March.
