THE Green bay packers could bear to add more firepower to his rush to the pass during the next draft of the NFL, having worked to put pressure on the opposing quarters in 2024.
Although they strongly invested in Rashan Gary and Lukas Van Ness, they owned three premium active workers at the post before, when Gary was behind Preston and Za’darius Smith on the table of depths.

If they want to pass a first -round choice at Edge Rusher in 2025, GeorgiaMykel Williams could be an option. He checks a lot of boxes for them.
Williams has a large size for the position at 6-5 and 260 pounds, and long weapons at more than 34 ”. He is one of the youngest prospects in the class and will not be 21 years before the end of June.
He did not do many sports tests due to the recovery of an injury, but executed 40 and timed 4.77. It may not seem impressive for a player described as having bizarre athletics, but his divided ranks of 1.61 10 yards in 90th centile and displays his explosive potential.
Packers have taken many players from the formidable Defense of Georgia in recent years, so it goes without saying that they would come back well, even if the results have not been stellar.

He has the positional versatility that Green Bay likes, moving from top to bottom of the fray. Williams was a multi-sport athlete in his youth, including basketball and struggle, which packers often look for in prospects.
On the band, Williams has been more impressive as a race defender than as a pass rusher so far. He is a reliable contributor against the race and can use his natural power to dig against simple or double teams almost as a defensive tackle.
As rusher of pass, he is able to put his long arms in the chest of an opponent and generate thrusts, but he is underdeveloped from the point of view of technique, not having many movements with which to win.
More unfortunately, its supposed explosiveness does not present itself often as a pass rusher, whether by crushing an opponent physically or with speed and burst.

A considerable attenuating factor, at least in his 2024 band, is that he suffered a sprained an ankle raised during the first week and played it for the rest of the season, which takes an incredible tenacity.
This has absolutely had an impact on his game, but the teams will love the effort he has shown to withdraw on the field to help his team.
William’s production of Rush is not high. He had 85 pressures and 17 bags in three university seasons.
The injury in 2024, as well as the role that he was asked to play in the defense of Georgia, limited his ability to really get after. There are not as many real pass clichés on his band as you will see in other rusher on -board prospects in this class.

It is well known that packers strongly appreciate the features and can excuse the lower production as they project what a player will become, but if Brian Gutekunst blurs Williams, he would be the least productive rusher he has taken in terms of pressures per season as a university starter.
Gutekunst was cited in the past saying: “We believe in the precipitation of the passer. This is very important for us ”. He may not be interested in a defense player in mind like Williams.
Even compared to Shemar Stewart, another rusher of tool passes with a modest university production, Williams does not have much concept evidence, on band or the sheet of statistics, that it can be an explosive rusher and impacting NFL Pass.
The lack of sports tests could harm his case. Gutekunst has never chosen someone in the first round with so few sports tests as Williams. He has a “big” RAS speed score, but all the choices of Green Bay under Gutekunst, except Jordan Love, had an “elite” speed score.

All of these combined factors can be a lot to overcome so that it is the choice, since they already have Gary and Van Ness, on which they will count to take a step forward during the second year of the Jeff Hafley system.
On the surface, Williams is the type of Rusher by Green Bay, but there are factors that would make the packers take it in the first round, if he even chooses it 23, at least somewhat against some of the principles and methods that they have established for the editorial staff 1.
