The NFL 2025 draft begins Thursday evening.
This is an evening that changes its franchise for the Giants and Joe Schoen, their director general of the fourth year of hot headquarters.
Schoen will probably have to choose between Edge Rusher Abdul Carter and the quarter-Arrière Shedeur Sanders at No. 3 (assuming he does not exchange), because Cam Ward and Travis Hunter left.

So what will Schoen do with the third choice? And what should Does he do it?
Here are our latest reflections on these two questions, given the hypothesis that Ward and Hunter will go first and second:

What the giants should do: It is far from perfect, but Schoen has found a Stopgap solution in the quarter-back this off-season. This should allow him to take Carter – the best draft player. It is understandable why giant fans are looking for a long-term response to the quarter-Arrière. Watch Daniel Jones for six seasons will do so at any fans base. But in such a low quarter -rear class, you have to go with the best available player – which is clearly Carter. Transmitting it is the kind of decision that deductibles regret for decades.
What the giants will do: Carter will be a giant. The Penn State Edge Rusher has the potential to be a generational consolation price for not having obtained long-term quarterrier at n ° 3. It has the speed and balance of the elite. And it breaks out through opposing lines like no one else in university football. Giant fans will flock to get his jersey.

What the giants should do: With Ward and Hunter out of the table, Carter is the best light player available at No. 3. Schoen should choose it, even if he already has an excellent rusher on board (Brian Burns) and another fairly good (Kayvon Thibodeaux). In 2025 and beyond, the giants will probably have to rely on the victory with La Défense. And Carter would be another important piece in this mission.
What the giants will do: Could as well do a daring prediction (but not really crazy) here. Schoen will take Sanders at No. 3. Sanders is obviously not a better global perspective than Carter. But the biggest problem of the giants is their blatant need for a long-term quarter-back solution. Yes, it is a bad offseason (and a draft) to be desperate for a quarter-Arrière, as are the giants (due to the errors of Schoen). However, reality remains: Sanders will be the best quarter-rear available for the giants at n ° 3. And the only way they can make sure they take it is to take it there.
