San Antonio – The former University of Texas in San Antonio End Oscar Cardenas will join the Cardinals of Arizona as an un residged free agent.
Cardenas was a 2 -star recruit, according to 24/7 sports, leaving Brandeis High School. He joined UTSA in August 2018 and was recognized as the Texas Football Top 300 Prospect of Dave Campbell.
Registered at 6 feet 4 inches and 265 pounds, Cardenas played six seasons for the roadrunners. Cardenas has completed his career as a leader of all UTSA times for the purposes tight by receptions (65), the reception of Yards (138) and the reception of affected (9).
One of the most memorable affects in Cardenas in the history of UTSA football arrived on November 20, 2021.
With only three seconds on the counter, Cardenas caught a pass of a touch of 1 rod from the quarter-arre Frank Harris, helping the UTSA 34-31 top UTSA and won the USA West conference championship.
Harris had to catch a swept snap, ride his left, and lob a pass that a UAB defender tilted in the goals before Cardenas closed the ball, capping the winning disc of the game.
From 2020 to 2024, Cardenas played in each match before undergoing a knee injury at the end of the season last October.
Two other roadrunners have accepted free agent agreements: the defensive platform Joe Evans signed with the Indianapolis colts, and the Elliott Davison security will try to list with the Saints of New Orleans.
In addition, four other UTSA football products have received invitations to Minicamps Recruit.
The CJ James center joins the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay, the defensive platform Brandon Brown heads towards the North West Pacific with the Seattle Seahawks, the second Jamal Ligon left for the Buffalo Bills and the receiver Chris Carpenter will try to catch up with the Saints of New Orleans.
