The discourse on the offseason of the Bengals of Cincinnati has largely focused on a reception body which was as talented as they are underpaid before the new year of the League. Finally, the Bengals responded to these concerns, signing Ja’mar Chase and Tee Higgins at $ 161 million and $ 115 million, respectively.
The offense will be almost identical in 2025, and it is a safe supposition that – healthy – it will remain one of the most dangerous units in football. Without improvements on the other side of the ball, however, it could be returned.

Cincinnati must spend significant resources for defense in the subsequent stages of the Free Agency and the draft of the NFL 2025, a process which should include the extension of the Rusher Trey Hendrickson.

Round 1, Pick 17: Tackle defensive from Oregon Derrick Harmon
Bringing back the BJ Hill line was a good start to keep the floor of the defensive line, but it is clear that the unit requires more talent. The team began to rectify this by signing TJ Slaton Jr., but does not have a high -end star or the increase in continuing it.

Harmon, on the other hand, offers a mixture of size (6-4, 313 pounds) and speed (4.97 seconds of 40 yards) which causes upwards. It is an explosive pass with the threat of precipitation which can push the pocket and help the rushers in pursuit of opposing passers-by while finding the occasional bag itself.
Physics, versatile and athletic, Harmon does not end in the first round simulations by accident. Its floor as a powerful racing cap with a path to play on each descent should de facto have the general manager Duke Tobin interested.
Round 2, choice 49: Florida Azareye’h Thomas state corner
For years, Cincinnati has tried the cornerbacks that exchange physicality for speed, hoping to create a dynamic secondary to bring the ball back to the offensive. Many and many times did not work.

Thomas may not be THE Clearly adjustment. But as a defensive on his cover of the best press man, little offer his tenacity brand at the melee line. Thomas is a nuisance for smaller receivers and can also compete with larger bodies.
There are concerns about its high -end speed and – with all physical corners – how much he can get away, but he would have a real chance of changing the identity of this defense.

Round 3, Pick 81: Arizona State Running Back Cam Skattebo
Speaking of power, Skattebo would be a safe bet to add it to a largely built offense on explosiveness.

Ballon bearer Chase Brown has had a successful season, running for 990 yards and seven scores, but it will never be confused with a large part of a thumper between the pads. Skattebo offers immediate supplement, offering more density than the average back of 220 pounds and the contact balance to match.
With a part -time role alongside Zack Moss and Samaje Perine – and the ability to usurp the two roles in future seasons – Skattebo can provide credibility to an offense that will require physicity if it plans to play significant January football.
