Lost in media threshing and the excitement of all movements, the director general of the Chicago Bears, Ryan Pola, made this offseason is the return of several young people and beginners ascending in 2025.
The list of potential superstars in attack is titled by the obvious pair of first -round choices in 2024, Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze. But the defense also has an arrival in Gervon Dexter, the selection of the second round of Chicago in 2023.
Dexter entered the NFL with a difficult road in front of him after the posts exchanged to select Jalen Carter in the first round, rather choosing to back up a place for the right tackle Darnell Wright. Thus, when Chicago landed Dexter in the second round, imminent career comparisons were inevitable.
Carter had a massive impact for the Eagles of Philadelphia through two seasons, highlighted by his immense contribution to their Super Bowl race in 2024. But Dexter has successfully completed in its own right, even if it is not yet a familiar name.
This could change this season with the Bears likely to be under the national spotlight of the week 1. In fact, Dexter was so solid during his first two seasons that he has already considered as Chicago’s most underpaid player entering the 2025 season.
“Caleb Williams would also be an acceptable response, but it was not as convincing as Daniels and Nix in Washington and Denver, respectively,” wrote Brad Gagnon de Bleacher Report. “Instead, let’s highlight Dexter, who broke out as a second-year-a-foreground starter for the flourishing defense of Chicago and cost the team that $ 1.5 million. It will also be cheap in 2025 and 2026.”
While I wouldn’t enough Call Dexter the most underpaid player of the Bears – he was a second round choice, after all – he certainly follows a second massive contract if he continues on his current development path.
Dexter, 23, finished last season with a career summit of five bags in 15 departures and more than doubled the number of plated he made during his recruit season.
Actually, Grade focus football pro football from Dexter – 70.3 – Track Carter in just a few points. Carter scored 73.3.
And remember, Carter had twice as many Pass-Rush opportunities (711) as Dexter (356) and only succeeded in two additional bags.
If the Bears de Chicago can go ahead on the dashboard more regularly in 2025, the opportunities to dexter to present its set of money skills (to be taken the quarter) will increase. And if they do it, Dexter’s national reputation will skyrocket.
Just as his next contract requires.
