THE NFL 2025 draft is officially in a month. In order to help you throughout the day of the draft, I decided to start a Daily Prospect spotlight series to talk about some players that Indianapolis colts could target next month.
The players mentioned in this series will be players that I have heard that the team is really high or are players who just make too much sense for the team according to the history of the drafts in adjustment / past.
The next player in this countdown of the day of the draft is the offensive line of Alabama Tyler Booker.
Booker is an old four -star recruit which has chosen to attend the Alabama from high school. He mainly served as a reserve line player during his real first year season, seeing only 427 shots through 12 games played. His only beginning of the year came against Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl, where he did not grant any pressure or bag through 26 snaps for blocking passes. He emerged as soon as the following season in 2023.
Booker has established itself as one of the best offensive line players in the SEC as a second student, winning the honors of the first SEC team. He started 13 games for the team and granted only two bags through 409 passenger blocking representatives. He followed this with an even better junior season, allowing zero bags in 395 Snaps for blocking passes during his last year of the game. He won the honors of the consensus of the first all-sec team and was also appointed first All-American team in 2024.
Booker has been appointed permanent team captain in his last year of the game and was considered a leader in the locker room at high school and college. It is easy to project it to be a central voice of an NFL team because of its history spent in leadership roles.

Booker is an absolute mauler on the film. He may not be the most athletic player in this project, but he makes great use of his long arms and his massive setting. He constantly delivers bodies to opposing defenders and just moves people in the racing game. In the protection of passes, he constantly scans for more work and levels of opponents without distrust with a powerful pop.
If anything, Booker is guaranteed to be a tone content on the offensive line so that the team writes it. It is an imposing force that strikes fear to opponents in a similar way to Quenton Nelson with the colts. If the colts were to select Booker, they would (no doubt) have the most dreaded racing duo in football inside.

Booker is rented for his domination in the racing game, but his capacity to block passes can even be better. He only granted two bags in three years in Alabama, and he set up an exceptional film in Pass Pro. His massive hands and long arms allow him to make the first contact blocks and finish with which most interior line players fight.
He will have an occasional blunder on the film because of his athletic limitations, but Booker is an extremely high-end player who projects himself to be a starting guard for the top 10-15 of the day in the NFL. The colts just lost Will Fries in a free agency, so a player like Booker could be a Plug-And-Play starter inside choice 14 of this project.

Although Booker was not the typical style of the athlete that the coveting colts, I am told that he is very at stake for the selection of colts at 14 this year. The colts see the right guard as a hole larger than most, and Booker, who impressed in his official interview in The Combine, is among the best players in the position.
I would not say that he is the favorite to be selected at 14, but he feels like a fairly safe folding plan that helps the offensive of the first day. The draft would allow Matt Goncalves to continue to develop as a good tackle, and this would open the colts to respond to the non-oli positions of need later in the project.
