The Cardinals of Arizona must nail the draft of the NFL 2025, which means verifying the needs of this season and beyond.
Fortunately for them, this class can meet the greater needs of this list.
Regarding the needs of the cardinal team, it should look like something like this:
• Departure edge rusher
• Rotating interior defensive line player
• Large depth of the receiver (more speed)
• Long -term offensive line player
• Addition of depth to key positions
You can assign them in any order you want.
At the end of this project, the cardinals must be able to check most if not all these needs. However, the highest priority will be to check the five needs listed below.
You can call this subjective list if you wish; I consider this list as a 100% failure or risks.
The beginning is my greatest need and it is not even close.
Complete to the addressing of the Rusher Edge
This is my non -negotiable. No ifs, Ands, or but – the cardinals cannot move away from this project without at least one more rusher on board, preferably two.
Edge Rusher was undeniably the largest hole in this team in the offseason. They added Josh Sweat by the Free Agency and repairs part of the equation. The Arizona group has so far, it is better to be turned in and out of the programming. They need another starter.
Perhaps no position in this class has more depth and high-end talent than Edge Rusher. Passing one of these guys, whatever the perceived value would be a drastic error.
I just couldn’t climb this course if it happened.
Enter a tackle in the nose
Cardinals need all types of reinforcements for the interior of the long -term defensive line. Dalvin Tomlinson and Calais Campbell will be good for this year, but unlikely beyond that.
But even with these two and these guys currently on the list, Arizona lacks a real tackle.
Although players like this have been deleted from most defenses, they always have an incredible value if you can find a good one. This year’s draft class scattered several on the first day until the end of the draft.
I am kindly – and – asking the team politely to seize one of them.
A defense that has trouble stopping the race needs someone who can anchor the interior and eat blocks, and that is why the noseguards are designed. It also gives both games a chance to play significant shots on the door. Win / win.
Find a receiver to stretch the field
The combination of Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson offers an Arizona a punch with two rivals with many other duos, but none of them stretches the ground, and it is a problem for the offense as a whole.
The offensive struggled to push the ball to the field last year and tried to force their guys to fill this void. For absolutely no faults of the receivers, they simply could not do it; No pass sensor on this team is currently built to remove the Defense summit.
This draft class has more than a few stretch receivers on the ground. Some do it with speed, some do it with the technique, but a solution is there for Arizona. They cannot afford to leave next weekend without a deep threat.
Add a long -term response to the right tackle
I want to start by saying that Arizona needs a right -of -law guard, but it can still be found in a free agency. Which cannot be found as a long -term high tackle.
This class has a lot of offensive tackle talents, and there are surprisingly several perspectives which are already polished for this side of the line.
The right tackle is currently a patchwork between Jonah Williams and Kelvin Beacham; At best, long -term options are not either. I need Arizona to leave this project not only with a long -term solution to Tackle, but I hope (and preferably) someone who can beat the two veterans and start as soon as possible.
Make each choice someone who can have an impact on next season
I beat the drum that cardinals need their 2025 draft course to be made up of players who can have an impact immediately on this team. It cannot be a year to write development guys.
The bar was noted last season with an appearance close to the playoffs and a fight for the crown of the division. Being frank, the list has overloaded … and yet I always think they can start again.
But that only happens if this draft class provides beginners and players in rotation immediately. This project should be focused on this year and above all.
