The Holy Orleans recently received overwhelming news that the star quarter of Derek Carr could miss all the 2025 season with a shoulder injury. This places the saints in a difficult position for the next draft of the NFL.
Should they reach and write a quarter-back, or should they enter the 2025 season with Spencer Rattle as a starter? Anyway, Carr could be on the hot seat this season.
Before the season, Lou Scataglia of the NFL Spinzone noted that he believed that Carr is “On thin ice” For saints.
“Suddenly, Derek Carr has a shoulder injury, and his status for the 2025 NFL season seems to be in the air,” wrote Scataglia. “New Orleans’ saints shouldn’t have signed Car to start, and now they seem to face the fallout from this enormous error.
“The saints choose the ninth row of the NFL draft in 2025, which could be the perfect niche to take Sheder Sanders, if they are high enough on him. And overall, Carr is simply not so good and does not go at the age of the saints where they and other NFL teams want. Derek Carr.
It is far from hot scataglia. It is difficult to imagine that Carr will be with the saints beyond this season. If New Orleans do not find a quarter-back leaving in the recovery of the 2025 NFL, it will almost certainly find one in the draft of the NFL 2026.
Anyway, it is unlikely that the saints want to move forward with Carr on the list beyond this season.
