The Los Angeles Loaders have signed the Ballon Najee Harris bearer to a one -year contract of $ 5.3 million in a free agency, replacing the JK Dobbins subject to injuries with a proven bell cow.
However, there is no doubt that Harris is a bit polarizing. Yes, he won more than 1,000 yards during each of his first four seasons of the NFL, but he did it on average 3.9 yards per race, which is not exactly ideal.
Consequently, the charges should select another half-back from the NFL draft to complete Harris in the rear field, but the general manager Joe Hortiz recently made interesting comments on the situation.
“You certainly want to build a complete rear field with a certain versatility”, ” Hortiz told journalists. “But you don’t want to reduce a player similar to Najee because, once again, it may not be a need (now), but that could be a need (in the future).”
Since Harris only signed a one -year contract, Hortiz could already plan his release, so he does not seem to allow Harris’s racing style to affect the way he decides to write.
Harris recorded 1,043 yards and six affected in his last campaign with the Pittsburgh steelers in 2024, recording 4.1 yards per attempt.
There was a time when the 27-year-old was a much more prolific pass on the rear field because he transported 74 receptions in his first season in 2021. Since then, however, Harris production as a receiver has decreased.
We will see what Los Angeles decides to do in the project this week, but clearly, the presence of Harris will not have a major impact on the charge strategy.
