According to the NFL collective simulation projects which surfaced last week, the Titans du Tennessee made a wise move by exchanging the n ° 136th selection at the end of the fourth round.
It was there that the Titans selected the receiver of Stanford Elic Ayomanor who was screened by most major networks for having disappeared for a long time when he was selected at the end of the fourth round on Saturday. To cite examples of Final Mock Brafts before the first day, Pro Football Focus had the 6’2 passes sensor, 210 pounds, planned for the 49ers with the 11th overall choice While Fox Sports made fun of Eagles later in the first round (28 in total).
Born and raised in Alberta in Canada, Ayomanor was transferred to a prestigious boarding school in New England – Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts – before his junior year. While schools like Kentucky and Tennessee extended the offers, he considered options that aligned with the level of education he came from, choosing Stanford from a group that included Cal, Duke, Notre Dame and Vanderbilt.
After the Redshirt in 2022, Ayomanor made a big statement in the second year when he recorded more than 1,000 reception yards. At the start of the following season, when Stanford faced Colorado in prime time, he made sure that the world of football knew that he was not only a player higher than the average among a list of receivers without as many players than the cardinal.
Often opposite the winner of Heisman, Travis Hunter, that night, Ayomanor led an exciting victory for return after following 29-0 at halftime. He beat Heisman’s winner for a touch of 60 yards in the third quarter as well as several receptions later, including the winning score in the fourth quarter en route to a 39-36 victory.
The 294 Ayomanor reception yards and two affected made the headlines of the national newspapers while its draft stock was starting to increase.
The Canadian sensor brings the type of size and physicity that is directly part of what Tennessee tries to build. It is not only a large target – he is a technician. Ayomanor launches clean routes, attacks the ball in the air and has a talent for making difficult and disputed captures.
It is not a raw athlete who tries to understand it. He is intelligent, hard and simply reveals himself to work in a coherent way. He is comfortable working in the middle of the field, he is physical after taking, and he is not afraid to take a blow to move the chains. His body control and his hands are real active ingredients, especially in tight windows.
The Titans needed a range of additions thanks to the project which can have an impact immediately, including the quarter-back and the receiver.
Alongside the best quarter-back Cam Ward and his colleague from Fourth Ronde Chimere Dike, a Florida Gators receiver, Ayomanor is a key ingredient in the Tennessee attempt to inject players recruited into these vital roles.
