The Washington Commanders have signed defensive end Justin Hollins to their practice squad, the team announced Thursday.
Hollins, 28, returns to the Commanders after signing with them during training camp. He was with the team for eight days but was among the last players to be cut on Aug. 27. Hollins played in the Commanders’ final preseason game against the New England Patriots, recording one tackle and one hit on the quarterback.
The Denver Broncos used their fifth-round pick (No. 156) to select Hollins in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Broncos released Hollins on September 5, 2020, and he was claimed by the Los Angeles Rams the following day. He was a member of the Rams’ Super Bowl 56-winning team after the 2021 season before being released in November 2022. He was claimed by the Green Bay Packers in November and re-signed with Green Bay for the 2023 season but was released in October.
Hollins has signed with the New York Giants and Los Angeles Chargers practice squads through the 2023 season.
