THE Arizona Cardinals The Detroit Lions will face the Detroit Lions at home at State Farm Stadium on Sunday at 1:25 p.m. Arizona time. The Lions are the favorites in the game, but both teams are 1-1, with their only wins coming against the LA Rams.
In this game, there are several confrontations that will be interesting to watch.
Which games are important and will be fun to watch?
Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. vs. Lions defensive end Terrion Arnold
Both are rookies. Both are first-round picks. Both have important roles on their teams. Grab your popcorn. Expect fun!
Harrison, of course, had four receptions for 130 yards and two touchdowns last week against the Rams. Arnold has nine total tackles in two games, but has yet to deflect a pass.
Cardinals RT ?? vs Lions Aidan Hutchinson
Hutchinson has 5.5 sacks in two games and, including the end of last year’s regular season, 10.5 in his last five games. He had 4.5 in the Lions’ loss to Tampa Bay.
Kelvin Beachum is expected to start but is dealing with a hamstring injury and his participation is uncertain. Jackson Barton and Charlie Heck were both promoted from the practice squad. Beachum is unlikely to play, which likely means Barton, who has 13 career offensive snaps, will be tasked with blocking Hutchinson.
Cardinals CBs Star Thomas and Sean Murphy-Bunting vs. Lions WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams
St. Brown had 11 receptions last week against the Bucs. Williams has 200 receiving yards in two games. They’ll test the Cardinals’ cornerbacks.
Cardinals linebackers Kyzir White and Mack Wilson vs. Lions linebackers David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs
The Cardinals have struggled to get through Buffalo’s James Cook. They’ve completely shut down the Rams’ Kyren Williams. The Lions have a two-headed offense, Montgomery and Gibbs. Each has over 120 yards in two games.
