Indianapolis Colts cornerback Jaylon Jones (40) runs with the ball after making his second interception of the game Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, during a game against the Chicago Bears at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

When Texas A&M University When defensive back Jaylon Jones entered the 2023 NFL Draft, there were some concerns about whether he should have stayed another year. However, he decided to bet on himself and was ultimately selected in the seventh round by the Indianapolis Colts.

The 221st overall pick saw some playing time last season and has been a big part of it this season. So far, while he’s been a solid contributor, he hasn’t thrown an interception in his professional career. On Sunday, he had one of the best games of his short career in the league, with two interceptions and five tackles.

His timely choices helped the Colts earn their first win of the season in a 21-16 victory over the The Chicago Bears. Below you can watch both interceptions from the game. Jones’ size, length and growing defensive instincts quickly made him a real boon for the Colts.
