We’re heading into week six of the 2024 college football season and a lot has changed in terms of the quarterback position and the 2025 NFL Draft. A player who started the season with a lot of hype but who Not up to par is Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
This is not to say that Sanders has been bad. But compared to players like Miami’s Cam Ward and Alabma’s Jalen Milroe, Sanders’ season hasn’t distinguished him if his goal is to be the best quarterback. But that doesn’t stop his father, Deion Sanders, from highlighting him.
Sanders was recently on “Nightcap” Podcast and made it clear that he would like to see the Miami Dolphins select his son in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Dolphins are currently in the running for the top pick in the upcoming draft, largely due to the injury to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The Dolphins are currently 1-3 and there appears to be no end in sight to their futility without Tagovailoa in the lineup.
For the Dolphins, the question would be which of the top quarterbacks do they want if they hold, say, a top three or four picks. That’s assuming Miami even wants a quarterback. Could Sanders convince Dolphins general manager Chris Grier to spend the top pick on Shedeur?
