Week 6 is over and the top two teams from last week’s power rankings were bye. For the first time this season, there wasn’t much movement. The top five remained the same, as did the bottom three.
Check out this week’s NFL Power Rankings to start Week 7.
1. Minnesota Vikings (no changes)
They didn’t play last week but are still as good as ever.
2. Kansas City Chiefs (no changes)
They have won 12 straight games and are 5-0 despite throwing a Patrick Mahomes interception every week. The defense was fantastic.
3. Baltimore Ravens (no changes)
The 0-2 start seems to have been a fluke, now that they’re 4-2 and rolling. But you wonder if the defense will improve.
4. Houston Texans (no change)
All they did was destroy a Patriots team they should have had.
5. Detroit Lions (no change)
They put up 47 points on the Cowboys and looked unstoppable on offense. We will have to see the defense because they lost two players from the front seven, including Aidan Hutchinson. It will be difficult to stay in the top five in the future.
6. Atlanta Falcons (+2)
Kirk Cousins led the Falcons to 38 more points and they are now 4-2 and atop the NFC South in a battle against Tampa Bay.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2)
Their attack is incredible! They put up 51 on New Orleans and Baker Mayfield had four more touchdown passes.
8. Washington Commanders (-2)
They faced off against the Ravens, but were unsuccessful. They still look very good.
9. Buffalo Bills (-2)
Buffalo held off the Jets on Monday night. They made some mistakes but also had a big interception.
10. Green Bay Packers (no changes)
Jordan Love reduced the Arizona defense to four touchdown passes and the defense forced three more turnovers.
11. San Francisco 49ers (no change)
They took the lead in the NFC West and knocked out the Seahawks, scoring 36 points despite missing Christian McCaffery and losing Jordan Mason in the game. Rookie Isaac Guerendo rushed for 99 yards.
12. Pittsburgh Steelers (no changes)
They put 32 on the Raiders. Justin Fields appears to have a grip on the starting job.
13. Los Angeles Chargers (no changes)
They held Denver scoreless for three quarters and took a 23-0 lead, slowing down the Broncos.
14. Chicago Bears (+5)
Caleb Williams has overcome his slow start and is now making the offense tick. He has seven TD passes and just one interception in his last three games.
15. Philadelphia Eagles (no change)
They beat the Browns and it wasn’t very impressive. A victory is good. They still look good.
16. Denver Broncos (+2)
Even after the loss, they put up 16 points in the fourth quarter and still feel like a team on the rise.
17. Cincinnati Bengals (+7)
The defense showed up and allowed just seven points, but their rise in this ranking has more to do with how the other teams played.
18. New York Jets (+2)
The offense was better in their loss to the Bills. There is hope, but penalties and missed opportunities make them a 2-4 team.
19. Dallas Cowboys (-5)
This team has something wrong. They are horrible at home and only allow 47 to the Lions.
20. Seattle Seahawks (-4)
After a 3-0 start, they lost three straight.
21. New Orleans Saints (-3)
Spencer Rattler will be the starter for a few more weeks.
22. Los Angeles Rams (no change)
They were goodbye. Nothing changes here.
23. Indianapolis Colts (no change)
Joe Flacco simply throws multiple touchdown passes every time he plays. Anthony Richardson will be back this week, although we’ll have to see if that’s a good thing.
What is this defense? They blanked the Lions and 49ers in the second half of their games against them. They didn’t stop the run, put pressure on Jordan Love or cover well. The defense is terrible.
25. New York Giants (+2)
Their defense has been really good lately.
26. Tennessee Titans (+3)
They don’t have a passing game but the running game is solid.
27. Cleveland Browns (+1)
They lost again and only scored 16 points.
28. Las Vegas Raiders (-2)
They were not accompanied by Aidan O’Connell. What will head coach Antonio Pierce do next?
29. Jacksonville Jaguars (-4)
Could the Jags just leave Doug Pederson in London after this weekend?
30. Miami Dolphins (no change)
At least they couldn’t lose again because they were bye.
31. Carolina Panthers (no changes)
They scored 20 points against the Falcons but Andy Dalton was picked off twice.
32. New England Patriots
Drake Maye threw three touchdown passes, but they still stink.
