Currently, the Pittsburgh Steelers having two legitimate NFL starting quarterbacks on the roster. The combination of Justin Fields and Russell Wilson is 5-2 this season and Pittsburgh currently has the best quarterback room in the AFC.
But the reality of the NFL is that it’s difficult to keep a team together when it comes to free agency. Both Fields and Wilson are expected to enter free agency at the end of the season and the Steelers are not negotiating contracts during the season. That means we won’t know until after the 2024 season ends if Pittsburgh has either guy in its long-term plans.
For us, we expect the Steelers to let the season play out with Wilson as the starter, then once things are over, sign one of them to a new contract and let the other leave in free agency. If Wilson continues to play like he did last week, he could earn a big payday for Pittsburgh or another team.
Vote and tell us which quarterback(s) you predict will be on the Steelers roster in 2025.
