The Jets will be without a few key players on both sides of the ball in Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.
Receiver Allen Lazard (chest) and safety Tony Adams (hamstring) were listed as questionable to play, meaning it would have been difficult for them to dress, and now both players are officially inactive.
With Adams and Ashtyn Davis (concussion) both out, Jets are thin at safety, which could mean more playing time for veteran Jalen Mills.
Without Lazard, Mike Williams will likely see more playing time as a third receiver.

Safe start Chuck Clark injured his ankle in the first quarter of the Jets’ Week 6 game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.
Clark, who returned to the locker room for X-rays on his own, was considered questionable before the team ruled him out late in the second quarter.
X-rays were negative and the safety suffered a sprained ankle, Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reported.
Ashtyn Davis replaced the veteran at the back end of the Gang Green defense on the first series after Clark left the game, resulting in a three-and-out for Buffalo.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh shared positive news on right tackle Morgan Moses, saying the veteran will not be placed on IR.
However, the Jets’ starting right tackle will miss “a few games” after leaving Thursday’s win over New England with a knee injury.
It was previously reported that Moses would miss 2-4 weeks, with four weeks being the minimum amount of time a player must miss if placed on IR.
Saleh did not give details of the injury, saying only that Moïse “suffered from a knee.”
On the other side of the ball, the linebacker CJ Mosley (toe) will not practice Wednesday. Mosley did not play in the win over the Patriots, as Jamie Sherwood resumed his duties in the middle of the defense.

The Jets have released their inactives for Thursday night’s game against the New England Patriots and CJ Mosley (toe) is on this list.
Mosley was listed as questionable before Thursday, but with the short week, Gang Green likely felt it was best for the veteran linebacker to stay sidelined. Jamie Sherwood will assume defensive playmaking duties in place of Mosley.
OL Max Mitchell And Carter WarrenR.B. Israel AbanikandaD.L. Eric Watts and CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse are also listed among the team’s inactives for Week 3.

Linebacker CJ Mosley was officially listed as questionable for Thursday’s game against the New England Patriots due to his toe injury. If Mosley can’t go, Jamie Sherwood would take over as the defensive play caller in the middle.

Johnson, 25, is a third-year pro after the Jets selected him out of Florida State with the 26th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. In last Monday’s 32-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Johnson totaled two tackles.

Mosley was injured on a first-and-10 from the Titans’ 16-yard line, where Tony Pollard took a 15-yard run to the 31 for a first down at 14:51 of the second quarter. A horse collar by Jets safety Chuck Clark pushed the ball to the Titans 46-yard line.
