THE New Orleans Saints are ready to face Carolina Panthers in a crucial Week 9 matchup on Sunday afternoon.
The Saints are currently on a six-game losing streak, mostly because of the starting quarterback. Derek Carr being sidelined with an oblique injury. Beginner Spencer Rattler took over at quarterback, and in his third straight start, Rattler completed 12 of 24 passes for 156 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers. But the Saints struggled offensively in the Week 8 game and failed to find the end zone in the Defeat 26-8.
Jake Haener eventually replaced Rattler in the third quarter of that game, completing nine of 17 pass attempts for 122 yards. Carr returned to practice and was listed as questionable for Week 9 against the Panthers.
The Panthers also face their own challenges. With a five-game losing streak and just one win this season, they are eager to turn things around. The return of the starting quarterback Bryce Youngwho showed promise with 24 passes completed in 37 attempts for 224 yards and two touchdowns was not enough to get them past the Broncos who offered them a Defeat 28-14 during week 8.
