Two Hawaii-bound defensive players had standout performances Sunday, as Kahuku’s Alohi Gilman and Hawaii alum Jahlani Tavai each had takeaways for their respective teams.
Gilman threw his first interception of the year in a 27–10 victory over the Cleveland Browns, returning it for 18 yards. He continued his stellar year with the Los Angeles Chargers with five tackles (four solo) and a pass deflection.

Additionally, former Hawaii linebacker Jahlani Tavai had a standout performance for the New England Patriots, producing a team-high 11 tackles (six solo) to go along with a one-handed interception, a tackle for loss and a pass deflection in a 20-17. loss to the Tennessee Titans in overtime.

Andrei Iosivaswide receiver, Cincinnati Bengals (Punahou): Iosivas had a 10-yard touchdown catch, his only catch of the day, in a 41-24 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jonas Lauludefensive lineman, Las Vegas Raiders (University of Hawaii): Laulu made four tackles (one solo) in a 41-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Marist Liufaulinebacker, Dallas Cowboys (Punahou): Liufau suffered a pass deflection during a 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Marcus Mariotaquarterback, Washington Commanders (Saint Louis): Mariota was active but did not play in the 27-22 victory against the New York Giants.
Kana’i Maugalinebacker, Las Vegas Raiders (Waianae): Mauga played on special teams and also spent time at fullback, serving as the lead blocker on the opening score of a 41-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Darius Muasaulinebacker, New York Giants (Mililani and University of Hawaii): Muasau made a tackle in a 27-22 loss to the Washington Commanders.
Rigoberto SanchezPunter, Indianapolis Colts (University of Hawaii): Sanchez punted three times for 148 yards in a 21-13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football.
Isaac Seumalooffensive lineman, Pittsburgh Steelers (born in Hawaii): The Steelers had a bye in Week 9.
Tua Tagovailoaquarterback, Miami Dolphins (Saint Louis): Tagovailoa completed 25 of 28 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-27 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He also ran twice for a total of three yards.
