Jets player to watch
WR Garrett Wilson. The third-year receiver is coming off a game in which he threw two one-handed touchdowns, including one of the most breathtaking in recent memory. But Wilson’s season was impressive across the board as his relationship with Aaron Rodgers solidified. The AFC Offensive Player of the Week leads the NFL with 60 catches and 94 targets, and his 663 receiving yards rank third in the league. Arizona is in the bottom third in pass defense, so Wilson could have another busy day.
Cardinals player to watch
Running back James Conner. Conner, 29, seems to be getting better with age. He’s coming off his first 1,000-yard season and is on pace for another with 664 rushing yards in nine games. Conner ran for 107 yards on 18 carries in his team’s win over the Bears last week.
Key match
QB Kyler Murray against the Jets defense. Murray was excellent throughout the first half of the season, ranking 5th in the quarterback rankings, sandwiched between Buffalo’s Josh Allen and Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes. He will face a Jets defense that has been one of the best in the league, especially against the pass.
Key injuries
Jets LB CJ Mosley will miss a third straight game with a neck issue. …Safeties Tony Adams (hamstring) and Ashtyn Davis (concussion) will return from injuries. … Nickel CB Michael Carter II was dealing with a back issue that listed him as questionable, but he practiced fully Friday. … LG John Simpson (groin) and RG Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle) both missed practice earlier in the week but were expected to play. … Cardinals DL LJ Collier (foot) and Conner (finger) were both limited in practice earlier in the week, but practiced fully Friday. … RT Jonah Williams (knee) is attempting to return after being injured in the season opener against Buffalo, but has been listed as questionable.
Series Notes
